The Command and General Staff College Foundation is hosting a get-acquainted social and information session at the Mission Hills Country Club from 5:30 – 7 p.m., April 12, 2016, to inform key Kansas City leaders about the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC). The commanding general of Fort Leavenworth and the Combined Arms Center will be the principle speaker. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with CGSC faculty and officer students from the U.S. and foreign militaries in attendance.
The purpose of this reception is to increase awareness and participation of local civic and business leaders in the development of military leaders for service to the nation. Our community leaders should be more aware of the value that CGSC and Fort Leavenworth bring not only to the nation, but also to our region. Given the significant economic impact the military and government presence has in the area, it is clear we all have a shared interest in promoting an expanded awareness of them.
